Migrate to Places API (New)

Now that Google has deprecated the legacy Places API, can anyone please share if react-google-maps-api is updated to support the new API? If so can anyone please share the documentation on what changes are required on the application side to ensure this library leverages the new Places API for address autocomplete as opposed to the legacy API. In essence we want to have a text box where we can type a few letters and see suggested addresses in our web page.

Here is google's migration documentation. I'm working through it now to migrate from AutoComplete to PlaceAutoCompleteElement. I'm newer to google services so may take some time to work through, but happy to share once I make the change.
