Connect to local database

Hello everyone,

I have a SQL Server database on my Windows machine that connects to an application. I need to synchronize this database with the cloud on a regular basis.

To accomplish this, I wrote a simple PHP script and packaged it using RapidEXE. Although this application is old, it still functions properly. I then utilized the Windows Task Scheduler to run this program at regular intervals.

I would love to rebuild this app using native PHP and add more functionality, but I want to know if it is possible to connect to a database on the host like SQL Server from native PHP?

Only if you build custom binaries with the sqlsrv and pdo_sqlsrv extensions.
