Are Garage S3 file uploads verified with checksum?

Are Garage S3 file uploads verified with checksum? - similar to S3 but I was wondering if Garage S3 or other S3 compatible providers also do a checksum verification?

The connection profile ¹ uses AWS4HMACSHA256 which includes a SHA265 for the content payload uploaded allowing the provider to verify the checksum. Additionally the x-amz-checksum-sha256 request header ² is set for file uploads. You will have to check with Garage S3 if they do inspect this header as documented by AWS.
