It may be beneficial to consider adding internationalization (i18n) support to the macOS tray app. This could enhance accessibility for users who prefer to use the app in their native language.
Additionally, considering that when Syncthing runs in a browser, it will automatically set the user's native language (if supported). This would also avoid that disparity.
Would it be possible to implement this without adding too much complexity?

I can't speak for this project and I don't know anything about MacOS development. But of course you're welcome to use the core project's translation service on Hosted Weblate to manage the process once it is integrated into the app's code. The greatest benefits will be an existing user base of translators and being able to easily correlate and re-use common string translations.
Feel free to contact me when you start tackling internationalization in the wrapper code.
