Well, I mostly meant it because of the name, since it still makes allusion to the original one. Why not make a contribution to the original one? I'm sure someone will review your PR!

Thank you for your concern. I kept the PR open for a couple of months before making some more substantial changes and detaching the repo.

I marked the official theme as not maintained and removed the "unofficial" label from my theme name.
